Maximize Your Rental Space by Adding a PODs Storage Unit

Many renters have a hard time fitting all of their belongings in their location or they end up getting more over time. In either instance it can be very frustrating if you aren’t allowed to have a shed or other permanent structure. Instead of moving to a new location consider a temporary solution such as PODs for extra storage.

PODs are small storage units that you rent from a local company that holds them. When you rent one it is delivered to your chosen location and you can begin using them to hold your items. Many land lords will approve one of these units even though they won’t let you put in a shed.

The size of the unit that you get is very important and will determine how much space you have to organize the items you keep in the unit. Try to get a unit that is going to be large enough to hold all of your items comfortably. Figure out a way to organize all the items and make sure that you have the space you need. If you know what you are going to be storing in the unit you can measure all the items after they are put in one location and this will give you a good idea about the kind of space that you need.

There are many rental locations where a permanent garage is prohibited. While this can be frustrating, it does not mean that you can’t store your items outdoors. With one of these POD units you will have a place to put your belongings and it will be in a semi-permanent location that can be moved later.

Before you have one of them delivered make sure that you ask for permission so that you do not waste your money on something that you are going to have to have moved anyway. Explain that it is a temporary storage solution to your landlord and then ask if it is okay for you to have one of them there.

Now that you know you can have one make sure that you get it put in the right location as well. Take the time to figure out where you want it and then tell the delivery guy where to put it. Make sure that it is turned the right way so that you can access it quickly and easily.

Now that you have all that additional space it is time to utilize it to improve your home. Start moving all your extra items out to the unit and store them in a way that you will be able to get access to them later on. With all the extra items stored in your unit you should have more room in your home and be able to enjoy it more.

When you use PODs you increase the amount of space you have at your renting location without upsetting the land lord. Sure it will cost you more money each month, but you are essentially increasing your total space and that can be very helpful.
